What Actually Is A Psychopath?

I was recently reading a book called the psychopath test and it was an amazing book!! I defiantly recommend the book if you end up finding this article interesting and want to venture more into the topic of psychopaths. With that being said, let's get into this article.

What Are Psychopaths?

Psychopaths are "a person suffering from chronic mental disorder with abnormal or violent social behavior." Now to be more specific psychopaths are people that have lots of certain "abnormal" traits that can harm others like being narcissistic, lack of empathy, lack of guilt and manipulative. Those traits are generalizing, not every psychopath is necessarily aggressive or have every single "psychopathic" trait.

Why Are They Hard To Spot Sometimes?

Psychopaths are hard to spot and even misdiagnosed often because a lot of psychopaths can actually mimic neurotypicals. Since they mimic neurotypicals sometimes it can be hard for a mental health specialist to actually spot a psychopath .

How Are Psychopaths Made?

Psychopaths CAN be made depending on their childhood but majority of it is a genetic predisposition that makes them a psychopath. So, it does vary from psychopath to psychopath.
