What Is Classical Conditioning in Psychology?

What is it?

Classical conditioning in psychology is "a form of learning in which a neutral stimulus comes to elicit a response after being associated with a stimulus that already elicit that response."

What would be an example of it?

An example would be lets say a child's parent wears a blue shirt every time they go to the park. Now, the kid is happy because they associates the blue shirt with getting taken to the park!

What is the main theory of it?

The main theory of it is the environment around you shapes your behavioral and mental state(thoughts, feelings, emotions, etc). Also that learning is made and developed by interacting with the specific environment.
